DirecTV is hemorrhaging customers. Lost 1.2 million customers in the third quarter alone. Ouch.

AT&T will dump it sooner rather than later. Spent $150 billion on WarnerMedia and DirecTV. Double ouch.

AT&T's activist investor Elliott Management ain't having none of it. Hedge Funds don't play that "losses" shit. AT&T is about to get bodied. lol

It's interesting that most of Elliott Management's portfolio is in distressed companies. They are considered a 'vulture fund'.

Interesting times ahead for AT&T. Too early to say if AT&T is in any trouble but $200 billion in acquisitions isn't peanuts and when you have a guy like Paul Singer (Elliott Management) breathing down your neck, everyone kind of takes notice of that.

AT&T has had a lot of misses in the last decade

It's really just the end of cable. People dont care much for ultra ultra high qual content, theyll take lower priced alternatives, or all out free ones. merica has a lot of competition too, canada doesn't so rogers and ma bell are still alive and kicking up here.

I am just wondering what AT&T's long-term plans are now that they are in bed with the devil. lol

I am not even convinced that AT&T will be some 5G juggernaut. I don't know where they go from here. I just know they spent a lot of money betting on those acquisitions and have a shit ton of debt.

Cable is definitely dying--at least in America. Which is kind of ironic considering how most Americans only know how to sit in front of the t.v. Because we are exponentially lazy.
