Good job, I like this much better than a Garcia or Khan fight. And by early next year he'll have plenty of good options. If Porter and Thurman make more waves in the fall it could be really exciting.

Ya man. "Floyd don't want it with Maidana again"

right.

"If the fans want to see it again, then we can do it again!"

Perfect. Maidana deserves it. The first fight was close and competitive enough to warrant a second fight. Glad Floyd made the right decision for the 2nd fight in a row. I think he'll dominate and win a 9-3 or 10-2 type of fight this time around.

Floyd really didn't have any other option.

A blind man could have saw a rematch coming lol.

If they put One Time/ Alexander on the undercard with the winner getting Floyd, I wouldn't mind.

Exactly. Niggas acting as if it were the plan all along. After Garcia's last fight no way he deserves Floyd. Khan is a joke. He still afraid of Manny. And he wants no Cotto a second time

I expect floyd to move a lot
I also expect maidana to improve
And have a great idea Of floyds attributes and he will have no respect.
Robert needs to get maidana to target the body often and wale away . Get floyd to be stationary

At worst he gives floyd fits at times and loses on the cards in a good fight. We all saw he is capable and doesnt respect floyd

I'll address Kao's post, after Cotto is locked in to defend his mw title @155 against Timothy "Cant crack an egg, and gets the shit beaten out of him by espn level fighters" Bradley.

btw I wish a more reliable and professional site was posted in regards to the subject, as opposed to this amateur site:

The Mayweather-Maidana I fight was scored as a 12 round majority decision with the scores 116-112, 117-111 and 114-114 handed down by the judges. I had it a little wider than 117-111, but it doesn’t really matter.

Mayweather still dominated Maidana and beat him at his own game by doing what he said he would do by going toe-to-toe instead of boxing him the way he could have. You got to give Mayweather his props for doing what he said he was doing to do by slugging with the Argentinian and still beating him. But on September 13th, you can bet that Mayweather will be looking to fight his own game and shutting Maidana out completely.

Are you saying that cotto would take the bradley fight if Floyd were to want the rematch?

I personally doubt cotto wouldnt want Floyd 2. He openly and freddie openly said they will ko him. Floyd peeps came out and said
They are looking at garcia and khan.

Obviously floyd cant go straight to cotto or he looks like a bitch for trying to get the 160 pound title not through martinez himself.

Floyd corners himself but he does make money. Floyd deserves the maidana rematch so let him have it. If its not cotto vs floyd 2 in may at 160 or lara at 154.its a waste

I'll say, what I have to say, when Cotto's next fight is signed.

Well the advisors to both Cotto and Bradley both said that fight is highly unlikely. Bradley doesn't wanna go past 147 and pretty much wants no parts of the CRC. Cant say that I blame him.

Honestly I would have preferred another opponent for Floyd, but I'm in the minority. I don't see Maidana doing any better than last time.

Don't get me wrong, Im not at all wanting Cotto to take that fight so I can rub it in on yall, I hope he sees it as the bs that it is. But if it happens, yall gonna hear about it.

I would have preferred another opponent for Floyd too, but after all the shit talk after the Maidana fight, bring this dude back on.

They'll eventually shit on the choice, and then the victory. And then the narrative will be that Floyd only takea rematches that he knows that he can win, inspite of the fact that they say Maidana fought Floyd closer than he did Cotto (when ironically you said the opposite, and got ridiculed).

So what would you rather have?
Maidana 2 or Cotto 2 at 155

Floyd didn't have much of a choice with fights that makes sense. I see this fight being more of the same without knowing some key issues that might change the course of the fight. Who will be the referee and how much rough shit will they let go? Will Marcus be allowed to use his gloves to eliminate any excuses? If the fight happens Floyd could box better but I don't see that frustrating Madaina, instead it will only inspire him to be more ruthless and desperate to go at Floyd. Floyd has to hurt Madaina early to actually dominate him this time. If not Floyd will coast until Madaina slows his pace a little.

Ever since he parted ways with Golden Boy.

It was common sense that he was facing Maidana again. You guys thinking people hate on Floyd for no reason are clowns. Khan is busy fasting is September. Garcia chose a tomato can next. Floyd doesn't do business with Top Rank or Golden Boy anymore. Which is an excuse to not to face any of their fighters. He's been ducking Pacquiao for years, And you have the nerve to say Floyd has haters? Try this, he makes people hate him. Why you guys defend it is beyond me. Live and let live. Maidana II is a decent fight. He's a Haymon fighter so his choice is no surprise. If you go back some, a lot of us have been calling this move for months. It's literally the only option he has. So much for Maidana being a undeserving of a rematch/dirty fighter right?

I just happy that Maidana has given Floyd a chance at vindication.

First off, I like it.

Secondly, Maidana needs to be able to wear whatever gloves he wants to wear.

Thirdly, Maidana needs to be making a hell of a lot more money for the rematch.

Fourth, I think Maidana can actually do better in a rematch.

Fifth, I'm not sure Floyd does any better in a rematch. I don't think he tries to evade Maidana in the second fight because it's not like he was trying to trade shots in the first fight. Maidana simply walked Floyd down in the first fight and I think that's exactly what is going to happen in the second fight.

Great rematch. I'm glad it's happening.

Maidana made like 4 and a half mil for the first fight. More? Sure! A lot more? no. I hear he got a bonus for changing his gloves too.
