i think its a far reach to imply that Bob scrambled to make Shakur/Valdez in order to prove he's not racist against blacks. this isnt exactly a blockbuster fight that screams "you see, he does like blacks!" tbe fight has been mentioned for quite a while now.

Im with Aneed here. I doubt that Arum and them were caught off guard, there were probably rumblings in their circles of the lawsuit coming and in such a situation with bud being as close to Stevenson and as great of a talent he is, its not far fetched that Bob pushed hard to get that fight locked to get insurrection out of Shakurs mind. But Austin is right in the sense that this isnt some blockbuster as a whole, but it definitely is for Shakur and thats all Bob would need really.

I still dont think he's racist. No scratch that, I think he is racist lol, but I dont think his racism has any influence on his promoting practices.

while its not a blockbuster, it is a significant fight. ya really think this significant a fight was just put together over night?? fights like these are usually a process in terms of putting together i would think. i doubt Bob is at all threatened by this lawsuit, thus i doubt this Shakur fight was rapidly put together as any type of response to the lawsuit.

Well that I agree, I dont think Shakur is going to ditch bob given whats on the exhibit table. But stay tuned, we'll see what this lawsuit leads to lol. Bob is a good place to be for young talent, but when you get up there if you are that good and wanna make the biggest bank, you're a fool to stay. Thats been the pattern of Arum fighters. I think its too soon for Shakur to rock the boat. He need to worry about training and self promotion.

Arum went after white people and the UFC years ago. Said all ufc fans are skinheads or some shit like that.
