look at his last 3 years, even worse than I thought. the catches to targets ratio is horrendous. And its because he cant catch the ball unless he's completely wide open. No speed, cant shake man coverage, cant make contested catches. Now, if he were to attempt a second career of sorts as a possession/slot WR, with a marginal importance to his teams offensive success, on a great offense, then maybe he could have a decent finish to his career. But if we're talking him as a 1 or 2, outside the numbers guy, yea, clearly sucks.

His last 3 years have been terrible...is true. But thst aint his whole career. Sucks is too strong. I think his offensive situation has been shit. His best years are behind him. But ill have to see him post the same stats next yr elsewhere before a write him off.

he's still jobless so i think that speaks volumes. Good players are not unsigned at this point, unless you're a safety or you kneel for the flag......or both.

I think Dez can be good again. I think his last few years can be attributed to injuries, a rookie QB he can’t get on board with, and the offense being more about Zeke and the run option. Dez I think emotionally dealing with the offense not being about him and missing the Tony days has him sucking.

He clearly a head case which is more why he is unemployed. He has a decent offer from Baltimore so it’s obvious teams believe in his talent, his head is what’s fucked up.

Nobody has been better in the red zone since Dez arrived and teams value that..if he got his head straight he can be solid again I believe

Thats how i feel about deZ, but i hate dez, so i didnt care to write it all. A team will sign dez for 8.5 mil for a year. If my team did Id be pissed. But someone will once all the other multi year deals pass and everything else settles.

im honestly thinking id be cool with any qb except Darnold. Rosen was the only one i didnt really get to see play. I wasnt impressed with Darnold while the opposite goes for Baker and Josh Allen. Darnold reminds me of Ryan Leaf, and wasnt even as productive at college. and he went to the same college as Sanchez. and he's a blonde.

Bump

In case anyone was wondering, this is Austins true feelings on Darnold, he just can't see past his gang green glasses these days

So what exactly have you seen from him, this year at 3-6 with a 55% completion percentage, 11tds and 14 ints and 4 fumbles tells you that he is going to be "really good"?

he's 21 yr old rookie playing behind the worst O line in the nfl with no true #1 WR and a Browns reject at RB and one of the 3 worst coaches in the nfl. yea lets give him a definitive evaluation based on all of that.

did you see the BILLS beat the Jets 41-10 in a game Darnold didnt play in?? yea the team is that bad. dont you think if he really sucked and i predicted he would suck that id be beating my chest about how i was right?? i never got behind Hackenberg or Petty. i did get behind Geno based on my fandom but quickly realized he sucked. no point in lying to myself. i think Darnold has a bright future assuming the Jets give him a little help.

oh let me add in Jeremy Bates, the out of work O coordinator for 3 years before he landed with the Jets. a guy who loves to go play action without establishing the run and loves to throw quick screens on 3rd and 10, like all the time. you've gone on and on about terrible coaching in the NFL before but now you're gonna dump the 3-6 record on Darnold, a 21 yr old rookie??

Ok, so you have given me reasons why he has looked bad, all 100% legit. I am still waiting on your reasoning that he is going to be really good.

ive seen him play really well the few times the pieces around him havent played like retards. he's made some really good throws and made some good reads when he's in situations that are a little better than shitty. good pocket awareness. can throw on the run going either side. let him play with talent and better players and let him naturally mature his own game. he's gonna be good.

Well I am on record as saying I thought he sucked coming into the NFL, and I have not seen anything to change my mind. But what the fuck do I know. I was one of them fuckers saying Oden should go #1, not Durant, LMAO

I knew Oden was going to be a bust because he had serious knee issues all the way back to high school. The Blazers missed out on M.J. and Durant....most brutal misses of all-time in professional sports.

you put rookie Darnold on THAT Jets team in 09 and '10, with a dominant D, dominant run game, dominant O line, Cotchery/Braylon/Santonio/Keller at WR/TE, they definitely go to the SB and might've won one.

they made the afc title game those seasons. Darnold>>>>Sanchez. he's having a better rookie year than Sanchez did when Mark was on a stacked team. stop acting like a 6 yr old.

Says the guy who thinks Darnold sucked before being drafted by the jets, but all of a sudden has seen the light even though his numbers blow because he's wearing that jersey. :hearty-laugh: :hearty-laugh: :hearty-laugh:
