If you get him at 6 you want Luke back on a 1 year deal so the kid can sit and learn, or are you throwing him in the fire day 1?

first off its Josh, not Luke. And im playing him from the jump. if you like someone enough to warrant a top 10 pick, you play them right away.

All Mcowns are the same, LOL.

I like the slow approach with qb's myself, unless you have a transfaomrative, Peyton Manning like talent, which none of these guys in the draft are.

i used to like that approach, but who is the last one to do that and be great, Aaron Rodgers?? Nobody thought Wentz was some transformative qb coming out of fucking North Dakota, and he was gonna win MVP in his 2nd season. Goff was excellent in year 2 after taking his lumps in year 1. I like these kids learning on the job instead of learning from the bench.

Differences in philosophy. I think Jimmy G fits in that category,. though I no way endorse drafting a kid and sitting him for years. But I like the 1 year learn approach. But I also admit my thinking on this is old school.

yea Jimmy can fit that mold though its still premature. but even so, Rodgers sitting behind Favre and Jimmy sitting behind Tom. if thats who you're learning from then great. but if Mayfield is supposed to learn to be great from watching a guy whose career year still only netted him a 5-11 record.....na, kid can play.

Ya man, put em in and let em learn on the fucking job. Coddling grown ass men. If their career gets ruined without injury because they cant catch on to the game, they aint shit anyway. I was happy as fuck when the Eagles fast tracked Wentz. Why wait?

as unlikely as it seems, there is a scenerio where not only is Mayfield there at 6 but also Josh Allen as well. This assuming Denver gets Cousins, Indy obviously drafts D, and Browns take a qb at 1 and Barkley or whoever at 4. Giants a qb at 2. nobody trades up to Denvers spot so they stand pat and take whoever. Allen had a dreadful 56% completion % in college but that doesnt bother me. i saw him play a few times and i was impressed.

If you could have any QB in the draft, who would it be?

probaly Rosen, who is going 1 or 2. so realistically the question is Mayfield or Allen. Id probably say Allen.at this point. I do have legit concerns about Mayfield more so than Allen, none of which are the Manziel character issues.

and i believe the NYG prefer Rosen. i wonder if the NYG take Darnold at 2 if Cleveland takes Rosen. if Darnold gets past the 2 spot, it could create some craziness with teams trying to trade up to get him. or maybe the NYG themselves trade out of the 2 spot if Cleveland takes Rosen.

Well they just took our QB coach as their new OC. So it's likely that they stick with Keenum for at least another year. Keep Bridgewater and move Bradford, neither guy wants to be a backup, but Bradford will kick up more stink about it.

Theres a big lesson in these playoffs. If you're leaving a team to take a coaching position elsewhere, dont talk about the shit until after the playoffs, it's bad luck. The Eagles went through teams that had coaches whos departures were all in the news, and they all came up short. Philly's QB coach was on the outs, and not a single word was mentioned.
