Revis Island bitches. I'll never forget that 2009 season, perhaps the greatest season a CB has ever had. Week after week, #1WR after #1 WR, the best of the best, completely shutdown, man to man, all season. Simply incredible. People still talk about Ginn beating him deep for a TD down in Miami cause it seems thats the only thing he gave up all year.

1st ballot HOF'er, tremendous player, possibly the best corner to ever play.

ive never put Revis over Sanders, or vice versa. its a compelling debate. Sanders was more of a play maker, INTs, TDs, flashier player. Revis more physical, actually played the run really well, a willing and textbook tackler. And played in a tougher era for DBs.

Remember when Asomugha vs Revis was a debate?? :hearty-laugh:

LOL!!! I would also put Champ up there as well as one of the best to ever play that position.

Great player. Window seemed to shut kinda earlier. Def didn’t have the longevity of greater DBs like Sanders, Green, or either Woodson but at his best was right up there. And he went and got him a ring. Good career.

i always thought Revis was capable of switching to safety to prolong his career like those guys did (not Deion) and Bowles did as well. Guess Revis wasnt interested. Being in this era he was more of a business man and completely aced the monetary aspect of his career. Dude didnt love the game like that to switch positions and play another 4-5 years when he made all the money he did and won a 'chip.

This is the only knock you can have against him. He was never all in about football, he was all in about that contract.

Revis could have been an Ed Reed type safety in his later career if he wanted that,.
