:smashing-computer:

I think I'm going to try and write a letter to Adam Silver, in this letter I'm going to recommend that they start piss testing general managers. And I think they should start with Danny Ainge, unless I find out that IT's hip needs to be replaced.

I wanna know where e90 is. He might be out right now with a pistol on the seat looking for Ainge. I think the Celtics got fleeced, what do you think?

I have to think they believe IT got some long term hip issues coming. But assuming proper health, it seems getting Crowder and the Nets #1 pick in addition makes it a win for Cleveland. But again, the injury concern for IT.....

Its really gotta be that. And that Irving is younger. But I'm calling it now, Boston will have hell trying to build around Irving. You gotta match him with a true point guard or point forward. He's a fucking combo guard, and he aint built like a Westbrook. Boston also gets more cap flex. But now they gotta spend more time finding perfect pieces.

Meanwhile IT is in the perfect situation with Lebron now because he dont have to dominate the ball, and wont be doubled, and he'll get more open shots than he ever has. And gets Jae crowder who he's played with along side him.

Yep. Listen, I love IT, and how he plays for an undersized guy. What he did in the playoffs last year was incredible, dealing with his sister, etc. So I do not want what I say nex to come of as knocking him but...

Kyrie>IT

He is younger, and have him under control for 2 more years. IT's numbers this year were more of a product of Brad Stevens system and having Horford here. Kyrie, a better player, will be an even better fit, in my opnion. Hayward>Crowder. Yes, Crowder would have made a great 6th coming off the bench, but he made it clear that wasn't what he wanted, so he had to go. We still have a potential top 5 pick with the LA pick next year, and we already used 2 or 3 Brooklyn picks. So under contract for the next few years the Celtics have..

Kyrie
Hayward
Horford
Borwn
Tatum

They are set up for the long term. Especially knowing that this is Brons last year in Cleveland, and IT is a free agent next year looking for a max deal.

What part do you disagree with? That Kyrie>IT? Hayward>Crowder?

Yeah, I dont think Kyrie is better, at the very least its not cut and dry. And I also think Kyrie hasnt demonstrated enough dominance outside of the LBJ Dome. I think comparing the effects of Brad Stevens offense, and the offense benefits of playing with Lebron and Love is a lopsided comparison, and Kyrie is going to feel quite a shock. I also think you guys are gonna be caught in a catch 22, because Kyrie is not a passing PG and scores less than IT.

The Hayward>Crowder comparison doesnt make sense, of course Hayward is better, but Hayward wasnt traded and Crowder wont be starting in Cleveland over LBJ, and he could have been an off the bench spark if you guys didnt move him.

And even if I go along with that part of your comparison, you guys gave up an unprotected first round pick from the nets, who....will....SUCK....in order to get a guy who is only marginally better than IT at absolute best.

The only clear cut benefit here is Kyrie is younger (by only 1 year but has contract implications) and IT's hip, which could be big or it could be nothing.

I think you guys gave up too much. I think Cleveland fleeced you. I could be wrong, but everyone who moves on from Lebron falls to earth, Kyrie will be no different.

Great debate, i can see both sides. Time will tell. Maybe both teams end up on the winning end.

But i dont wanna hear nothing about soft ass Horford making IT better.

To me the only quibble is the pick. Would I have preferred it been the lakers pick instead of the Nets pick, of course I do. I think where we differ is our opinion on the ceiling of Kyrie, vs the Ceiling of IT. Clearly I think more of Irving than you do. but I think we set ourselves up nicely for the future. It may not pay the dividends this year, so don't jump on me at the end of the season if we still lose to CLE in the conference finals. Talk to me in 2-3 years.

I won't debate the softness of Horford with you, he is Charmin Ultra for sure. However, he is probably top 3 best passing big men in the game.

I used to rate Horford and awful lot, I want to know what parts of Brad Stevens offense scheme inflated IT. A lot of times I saw that offense sputter and it was individual efforts from IT that saved the day.

Listen, IT had a phenomenal year last year, came up big in the 4th qtr and made huge shots. I love me some IT. I just think Irving is better. I don't think IT scoring 30 a night is sustainable for the next 4-5 years.

The issue with the Celtics is, even if you think they got better, which is at least debateable, they did so by also making Cleveland better.

This is all predicated on Bron leaving Cleveland. You are right though, if Bron stays, and they keep IT, and have that Brooklyn pick you made a rival stronger. Danny gambling that Bron is LA bound.

I'm shocked that there are heads debating about Kyrie and Isiah, I'm thinking it's obvious Kyrie is better. There are other things to consider of course, but I just don't see how you can say IT balls better than Kyrie
