I don't know how OKC keeps winning without Westbrook getting triple doubles. I mean he's shooting very efficient, but that doesn't matter. The formula for them to win is always for him to get those triple doubles. Wtf is going on?

Russ is playing exactly how he has always played. His shot selection hasnt changed, his triple double mentality hasnt changed, his ball sharing is no different. As I said, he's not the issue.

George and Melo are adjusting to his speed and style, which they should. George himself admitted this, saying that he has had to shed weight just to keep pace more, which coincides with his erratic shooting. Melo still has a ways to go on this same topic, but he is showing improvement and the winning is proof.

The old dogs learning new tricks, not the head dog changing his style, like I said all along.

Give me numbers not words :hearty-laugh:

0 triple doubles 3 wins

+50% Fg 3 wins

Tho you say he has to have a triple double and shoot terrible.

3 wins?? Are you beating your chest over a sample size of.....3??? Numbers cant be your strong suit at all!

:eusa_snooty: 10-1 this year when Russ scores a triple double. 13-3 when he's a rebound or an assist shy of one. And that statistically is a pretty big deal, given the team only has 17 wins.

Ya, and that he's basically saying Russ should be trying to do LESS on the court...and the team will be better for it. :eusa_think:

if Russ had back to back 50 pt games in home losses to 2 bad teams he'd be screaming for Russ' stat stuffing head and saying how the D let Russ get all his points and shut everyone else down and how Russ gladly took the points not realizing that he being a one man show isnt condusive to winning basketball.

Right. Still waiting to see that.

Like I said being more efficient, having less turnovers, not taking horrible shots (he ain't Steph Curry), and basically playing smarter would be more conducive to winning and the numbers prove it. Nice try again with the lies.

Its all a small sample size and its more to each game than Russell's numbers. Trying factoring in his teammates and opposition too if you got that kind of time. OKC is 5-1 when Russ shoots +50%. They have more losses when he takes 20+ shots.

Damn the Rockets are like 21-3 when Ariza scores 20. Should the Rockets run with that alone and focus on Ariza scoring than Harden and Gordon? Numbers tell only part of the story.

Well the diff is none of us said that. We pointed to a statistical trend. Youre the one who came with the beyond subjective opinion that Russ stat stuffs for triple doubles, which has to be the dumbest thing said in this thread in addition to being the most unprovable given the fact that statistically speaking....his team better performs when he plays that aggressive.

Only stat that I ever said anything about Russ besides his low FG% was his rebounding which I said wasn't overly impressive because I feel its inflated. And going 3 for 17 was more detrimental than he getting a few extra boards that his team help him gets. You want to take that and run with your exaggerated claims of me not thinking he supposed to play hard as he can. Lmao.
Either you have lack of comprehending or just butt hurt about your favorite player being called out for playing bad and leading a team you had high expectations for before the season to another mediocre year. I know the truth hurts, but you got to deal with it nonetheless.

Looks like OKC is beginning to figure it out. Durant still keeping Warriors winning in 1st place now without Curry. Should be in the MVP race now.
