Great career. Lack of postseason success and some false narratives probably keep him out of the HOF. Also probably needed a couple more great seasons. Either way great career.

I never liked Romo, couldnt stand all the excuses that were made for him. It made me feel warm inside everytime his ass got HIT and put out for some games. But he was a pretty good QB. Definitely short of the HOF.

Would have liked to see him go to another team. Away from my Cowboy hate.

I wouldn't say great career, but definitely good story. Undrafted kid makes it on America team. We have to see this goofy bastard all over our TV sets as they can't wait to put him on TV

Bad enough we have to put up with David Carr on account of his brothers success

By default he has to be better than Simms.

Look at his career numbers. They are fantastic. His lifetime qb rating is 10-15 pts higher than some HOF qbs. A bit misleading I understand, different eras and those guys had postseason success. Still, a great career by any measure.

I guess we have different interpretations of what great means. John Elway, Steve Young, Dan Marino had great careers.

Romo had a good career. No MVP's, no championships, what, maybe 1 playoff win?1 If that.

By saying he had a great career, you are calling Tony Romo great and that is simply not true.

Those guys are HOFers, which is better than great.

I dont follow social media much, so imagine my surprise when I found out that a lot of people view Simms as I have for years. That being terrible and unbearable to listen to. So glad he's gone. He was the NFL's Tim McCarver.

I read there is even a Twitter handle that is specific for all of his dumbest quotes. I almost want to check it out.

Dude just said the dumbest shit man. Like a team would be down 20 with 5 minutes left and inexplicably punt, and Phil would say something like, " the crowd is booing Jim, but this is really the right call. Your offense is struggling, your down 20, punt the ball, play the field position, hope that your defense and special teams can make a couple of plays."

I just cracked myself up saying those lines in my head with Simms voice. Man he was dumb.

I didn't mind Simms that much lol I actually kinda liked him. I think Tony will be horrible. I'm tired of all these half ass QB's anyway. Gimme some defensive players

Romo does everything right behind the scenes.
In the scene, he stinks it up unless someone covers his ass.
In football, it was his line, RB's, and WR's holding him up.
I can hear it now during a broadcast.
"Ok, Romo (eyes rolling). Now back to the game after a word from EnableX"
