Kovalev looks sharp in training.

1 thing...body shots.
Kova better take them better than in the past.

Canelo is small. Kovalev is going to jab his head off.

Ya, I dont know either. It usually takes really skilled big men to beat really skilled small men. Im not sure anymore of Kova is skilled enough. Andre Ward would jab Canelos head off. Not sure if Kova has that discipline. If Canelo hets in and stays in his chest, he will tax the fuck out of his stamina.

Did you just say something about stamina?

I have a feeling Canelo is going to try and box off of the back foot in this one and that isn't going to serve him too well.

Though the favorite, I can't see Canelo winning this unless he's juiced up or it's a flat out robbery. Seemingly too tall of a task for Canelo, but big ups for him taking a risk like this. To all the hype about body shots, when was the last time Canelo knocked out a real fighter? Canelo has to fight a perfect fight and still Kovalev could hurt him with a jab.

Yea, naw, that wont work for him at all. Too short, not enough range. He gotta get up in Kova's ass.

Once he starts getting jabbed, he will revert to his bicycle and he will try and outslick Kovalev on the ropes. Kovalev should just blitzkrieg his ass.

Getting up in Kova's ass is no easy feat any how, it took the 2nd/3rd best fighter of a generation to do it to a Prime Kova. Canelo is no Andre Ward.

These are kind of my thoughts as well. I mean, a lot of people had Kov beating Ward in the 1st fight. In all honesty, fighting Kovalev after the 2nd Ward fight would've made more sense from a psychological standpoint, because now, IMO, Kovalev is in a resurgence period.

I'm in Kova's corner because I think he is the underdog here....not that I'm always for underdogs.
He is bigger than Canelo but Kova doesn't seem the same after Ward.
He just doesn't seem the killer anymore.
I hope he does jab Canelo face to a mess but Canelo's got a good defense and great head movement.

I'm looking forward to it.

Aight, official prediction time. Canelo UD. AS long as he doesn't hit the canvas, that UD has been bought and paid for. LMAO.

Spoilt for choice with this and Diaz Masvidal same night.

I've got Canelo by KO, he's gonna brutalize him.

Word is...this fight is going to be held off til late, as to not go directly head to head with Diaz Masvidal.

Man wat ya talking about? Canelo is gonna beat this dude.... probably gonna knock him out late but if not it'll be a wide ud! 90% of the time in these type of fights the younger guy always wins

Floyd,PAC,and Hopkins are known for beating the younger guys....but kova aint those guys!
Canelo is a young lion in his prime
Kova is a old alcoholic bum who can't take body shots

He might look good the first 6 RDS but after that he's getting fucked up....that bum yarde had him hurt bad man get real! 175 will serve canelo well....he got to eat whatever he wanted didn't have to kill himself to make weight like he does at 160

He'll be stronger at 175 and much faster than this old version of kova....I don't see any way in hell he loses this fight

If it goes 12 he'll drop kova at least twice...but I think more likely he'll take him out late...

na i hope that was a one and done at 175 for Canelo. Ward is retired and if Ward is Ward he washes Canelo. much more exciting fights at 160. Canelo wasnt overly impressive except for the finish and Kova was arguably up on the cards and just looked pitiful all night. I thought it was underwhelming until the KO.

Canelo did the job... definitely won 4 of the first 6 RDS and had the fight under control all throughout.kova looked much better than I thought tho....not bad for an old geezer :hearty-laugh:

Kova won 3 or 4 RDS the weight definitely helped him survive as long as he did...but ultimately canelo finished him off like I thought
Even a diminished version of ward still has enough left to beat canelo right now

It's a unnecessary risk for canelo and I doubt ward wants that smoke!! Ward and Floyd are retired Man it's over...these dudes don't wanna go thru the rigors and the abuse or training anymore and I don't blame them

It would take alot of money to lure ward out of retirement....he wouldn't sell his 0 for cheap that's for sure
