prime Donaire wouldve been an interesting fight with Frampton.

Remember how great Donaire was...untill he wasn't? That left hook neutralized and once Rigo laid the blueprint, he was never the same fighter.

Donaire was legit, beat some good fighters, then got beat soundly and went downhill from there.

Donaire denting Montiel's entire face is one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

He was a solid fighter, but people had him at the top of p4p lists.

yea we are talking about a time where Floyd was Floyd and Manny was wrecking shit was well. ive never ever seen Donaire #1 on any P4P lists and a group of idiots on some scrubby forum doesnt count.

You know Floyd retired for a time, right?

And you know that Manny lost two fights in a row in 2012, right?

There were peeps that had Nonito #1 by default around this time because I think some cats were just tired of Floyd and certainly didn't consider Wlad.

Sounds vaguely familiar.

I don't remember Nonito ever being #1.

Andre Ward was FOTY in 2011. He surpassed Nonito on a lot of lists that year.

Floyd "returned" in 2011, so even after Manny had "lost" to Bradley, Nonito wouldn't have been ahead of Floyd in the middle of 2012. By the time Manny got put to sleep by Marquez, Nonito wouldn't have even been ahead of Juan, who was never #1 himself.

Also remember, people were loving Sergio Martinez' ass in those days. He was always a few spots too high.

It's possible, but I don't remember Nonito at #1. It seems really unlikely in 2012, and it would have never been in previous years with Manny wrecking people in between Mayweather retirements.

yea, i wouldve guessed the 6-8 range during those prime years, 4-5 makes sense. Gah damn its crazy seeing Guerrero and Broner on any P4P list of any fucking year.
