Rigo needs to win this decisively, anything close and he's gonna get jobbed on the cards.

On a diff note, Teddy Atlas has been removed from coverage this fight, rumor is ESPN decided that he's too much of a Loma homer to be biased, and I agree with that assessment, because looking Andre Ward and Terrence Crawford in the face on air and saying Loma is #1 while nutting in his undies and shadow boxing speakers volumes about his Loma support.

Oh thank god I don't have to listen to him. Who is going to be on the call?

TCs resume isnt any better than Loma's. Ward is retired. And we dont have to worry about going to the cards.

Lomas isnt better than TC's either, and Teddy said this shit while Ward was an active fighter and had just beaten Kovalev. He's a homer.

Its just as good minus all the worthless bums. I wish people remembered how highly the masses rated Walters, and even Russell to a lesser extent, before Loma treated them like hopeless bums. And once he KOs Rigo, his resume will trump TCs.

I remember it just fine because I was team Walters. You can have the argument if he KOs Rigo, not before.

LMAO. I don't see how the best current defensive fighter is going to get KO'd. Lose, yes, KO'd? no way.

Is there a rational explanation for how the best defensive fighter out there gets KO'd?

And yet there is still no clear rational explanation given.

He will say size difference, which is a factor. He will say Riggys never been hit by a guy as big as Loma. True. But those factors come into play only if he lands clean against the best defensive fighter out there. My question is HOW does loma use the size and power to his advantange? How does it get from A to B?

I could make a case for Loma winning easily, but a KO? before the 8th???? nope.

Loma is an accurate volume puncher with really good footwork to facilitate his volume work. Last elite who boasted that was Pacquiao. But Loma doesnt have that one punch power that pacquaio had. Also, Pacquiaos effectiveness has been proven to be neutralized when in against defensive fighters with even better footwork. Loma has fought nothing but stationery fighters. So all that volume and footwork wont work as effectively against the Jackal.

Heres another factor being overlooked. People keep talking about the size factor. Loma being 2 inches taller and being the bigger man. Well, Rigo has a 3 inch reach advantage. Yaaa, so factor that one. Rigo has a bigger reach advantage than Lomas height advantage. So keeping the smaller quicker guy on the outside will be the devils task.

There is also nothing to suggest that Loma has significantly more power than Rigo. In fact, Im in agreement with Ice and Rigo is the harder puncher, punch for punch.

So defense: Rigo
Speed: Rigo
Physical Size: Loma
Power: Push
Volume: Loma
Reach: Rigo
Stamina: Probably Loma. But we've never seen either guy tired.

So take what you like, I'm taking Rigo.

Good sum up. I will take Loma, but no way it's a KO.

What I will also say is, there is almost no chance that this fight comes out a stinker unless Loma decides to tries to outbox Rigo, in which case it will be Rigo by UD....or Rigo decides to just play defense all night...which we get Loma by UD. Both guys have to throw to win, so if they both want it, it'll be a good night.

That is something that concerns be about Riggy. Will he try and sit back and be in defense mode all night, because Loma's work rate, which will be neutralized some by riggys movement, will still easily carry the day. Loma I feel like is coming out on fire, so Riggys gotta match it (smartly)

Thats why the reach is key for me. If he didnt have the reach, I could see him troubled and just trying to avoid punches all night. 3 inches though, and the speed, he can get in close enough, stick him once or twice and still be defensive. One of the more interesting clash of styles we'll see. Maybe we get a draw and a rematch!

I feel like earl;y on you will be able to tell how it goes. If Riggy lands a clean one on Loma, and it doesn't phase him, Riggy's in trouble.

Of course TC’s resume is better, he doesn’t have a LOSS in 30 something fights, let alone 10 :kopfpatsch:  :kopfpatsch:
