Chris John has reportedly postponed his featherweight title defense scheduled for July 26 against Fernando Saucedo once again. The injury to his ribs occurred during a sparring session, John's advisor Sampson Lewkowicz told ESPN's Dan Rafael.

John's team is awaiting a doctor's prognosis to determine the date for which the bout will be rescheduled.

This is not the first time John has been forced to postpone the fight. John pulled out of the first date, May 22 in Bali, Indonesia, citing a shoulder injury in April.

John (43-0-2, 23 KOs) has not seen action since his September victory over Rocky Juarez in Las Vegas. Although the clash with Saucedo (38-4-3, 1 KO), of Argentina, is to be his 13th defense, he has not faced much of a live opponent since he defeated Juan Manuel Marquez in a 2006 fight many felt Marquez won.
