ST. LOUIS — An interesting fact emerged in June when Don King planned to present IBF 154-pound champion Cory Spinks against mandatory challenger Cornelius “K9” Bundrage in St. Louis: Bundrage’s Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward revealed he has never set foot inside the city of St. Louis.

IBF, WBO and IBO Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko (54-3, 48 KOs) will defend his titles against Russian Alexander Povetkin (19-0, 14 KOs) on September 11. Venue will be the Commerzbank-Arena Frankfurt, Germany, which will have a capacity of 54,000 on fight night. The Commerzbank-Arena is the home of German soccer team Eintracht Frankfurt. Alexander Povetkin, 2004 Olympic Champion in Athens, Greece, is rated #1 in the IBF and WBO rankings and the mandatory IBF challenger of Klitschko.

Chris John has reportedly postponed his featherweight title defense scheduled for July 26 against Fernando Saucedo once again. The injury to his ribs occurred during a sparring session, John's advisor Sampson Lewkowicz told ESPN's Dan Rafael.

WBO interim bantamweight world titlist Eric Morel has withdrawn from his July 17 mandatory title bout with WBO and WBC titlist Fernando Montiel in Mexico. Top Rank's Carl Moretti informed ESPN's Dan Rafael that Morel withdrew on Saturday citing a leg injury, and will be replaced by Rafael Concepcion (14-4-1, 8 KOs).

On Saturday July 31, former super-flyweight world champion Martin “Gallito” Castillo (35-3, 18 KO’s) will face off against popular Mexican fighter and three division world champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce (54-6, 44 KO’s). “This is the fight I’ve always wanted and I plan to make the most of the opportunity,” Castillo said from his training base in Los Angeles. “Preparation is going great. The fans are going to see me faster and stronger than ever.” The fight will be televised on Fox en Espanol from Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico.

INDIO, Calif. -- Undefeated World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight champion and top-10 pound-for-pound fighter Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley and No. 1 junior middleweight contender Alfredo "Perro" Angulo hosted a Palm Springs media workout Tuesday at the Boys and Girls Club of America Gym in Indio, Calif.  Undefeated top-five welterweight contender and Bradley opponent Carlos Abregu also paid a visit to the gym, choosing to observe Bradley's training rather than give him a look at his own training.
