Haye was at a press conference in Manchester to formally announce the bout. The venue will be The MEN Arena in the city, and Haye is very happy to be fighting there in April.

The fight, taking place Friday night, is promoted by Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing and Let's Get It On Promotions. The bout, scheduled for twelve rounds in the super middleweight division, is an Official IBF super middleweight eliminator for the number two ranking, and will also be for Brinkley's USNBC super middleweight belt. ESPN's popular "Friday Night Fight" series will broadcast the event live, Friday January 29th, starting at 10PM ET.
